Inaugural Kenya National Beach Games to be held in Malindi featuring 15 beach events.

The National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) has announced that the first-ever Kenya National Beach Games will take place in Malindi, a coastal town in Kenya, from March 17 to 19.

The event is expected to attract more than 500 athletes and will feature 15 beach events, including beach soccer, beach volleyball, and open-water swimming. NOCK aims to promote the Olympic Movement and develop a sustainable sporting culture in Kenya through the games.

Additionally, the event will serve as a warm-up for Kenyan athletes ahead of the 2023 Africa Beach Games in Tunisia and the World Beach Games in Indonesia later in the year.

In a statement, NOCK emphasized that the Games would focus on promoting environmental awareness and sustainability by utilizing existing beach-friendly infrastructure to minimize environmental impact.
