Russian and Saudi Arabian foreign ministers express willingness to develop bilateral relations.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, have expressed their commitment to deepening their countries' bilateral relations.

Despite global challenges, the two nations have managed to maintain a respectable level of trade turnover, with $1.7 billion recorded in 2021, according to Lavrov.

He also noted that the two countries will take additional steps to increase trade in the future. Faisal emphasized the importance of cooperation with Moscow in all sectors, while Lavrov said that they have agreed to further coordinate their actions within the framework of the OPEC+ and underscored the significance of Saudi Arabia-Russia cooperation in restoring stability in the energy market.
