Credit Officer at Post Bank Arraigned for Abuse of Office and Corruption Charges.

In a collaborative effort with the Criminal Investigation Directorate, today The Anti Corruption Unit from State House Uganda brought Mr. Nahurira Danstan, a Credit Officer at Post Bank, before the prestigious Anti-Corruption Court in Kololo. 

He stands accused of committing the offense of Abuse of Office. The court has decided to remand him in custody until the 23rd of June 2023.

According to the allegations, the accused has purportedly engaged in the illicit practice of soliciting funds ranging from UGX1M-2M. 

These illicit funds were allegedly obtained in exchange for issuing financial cards to individuals with existing loans, thus facilitating their eligibility to acquire further loans from both Post Bank and other financial institutions.
