Fatal Accident Involving IGP's Convoy on Tororo-Iganga Highway.

A fatal accident occurred along the Tororo – Iganga highway on February 19th, involving a Toyota Land Cruiser leading the convoy of the Inspector General of Police and a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle. 

The motorcyclist, identified as Mukose Yunusu, attempted to overtake several vehicles and collided head-on with the lead car of the IGP’s convoy. 

Yunusu died on the spot, while his passenger sustained serious injuries. 

Two crew members from the lead car also sustained injuries while bringing the vehicle to a full stop. 

All injured parties were taken to Bugiri Hospital and later evacuated to Kampala for further treatment. 

The deceased’s body was taken to Bugiri Mortuary for a postmortem examination. 

The IGP has conveyed his condolences to the victim's family and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
