Ghanaian Footballer Christian Atsu Dies in Türkiye Earthquake: President Expresses Condolences

The Ghanaian President, Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has expressed his condolences to the family of Christian Atsu, a former Black Stars player and Hatayspor midfielder who was confirmed dead following the devastating earthquake that hit Türkiye. 

In a statement on his official social media account, Akufo-Addo conveyed his heartfelt condolences and stated that Ghana football has lost one of its finest personnel and ambassadors. 

Atsu was trapped under the rubble after the earthquake and his remains were recovered by Turkish authorities on Saturday morning. 

The Ghanaian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration confirmed the news.
