Cameroon unveils provisional squad for 2023 AFCON qualifiers



On Friday, Rigobert Song, the head coach of Cameroon, unveiled a 34-man provisional squad in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, set to commence in March. 

The squad comprises four goalkeepers, 11 defenders, nine midfielders, and 10 forwards. Cameroon is scheduled to face Namibia on March 23rd in a home match, with the return fixture taking place five days later at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. 

The team is grouped in Group C of the qualifiers alongside Namibia, Kenya, and Burundi. The 34th edition of AFCON is slated to be held in Cote D'Ivoire next year.
