In a captivating climax to the 2022/23 season, She Maroons FC has been officially crowned the Champions of the FUFA Women Elite League. The Prison Sentries sealed their victory in the final game with a commanding 2-0 win over GYCO Girls, courtesy of second-half goals from Joyce Namukinzi and Justine Najjuko.

Impressively, She Maroons FC secured the league title with three games to spare, showcasing their dominance and consistency throughout the season. Lillian Kasuubo, representing She Maroons, emerged as the top scorer of the league, netting an impressive 24 goals. Additionally, Proscovia Adong from She Maroons stood out as the best goalkeeper, delivering remarkable performances in 11 games.

Recognizing outstanding sportsmanship, Lango Queens was honored as the Fair Play team of the season, highlighting their commitment to fair competition and respect on the field.

 


In a thrilling battle for promotion, Wakiso Hills FC secured the second promotion slot by securing a victory over Isra Soccer Academy. Sylvia Namiwanda proved to be the hero of the match, scoring two penalty goals to cancel out Lydia Namasereka's early opener for Isra Soccer Academy.
