Bobi Wine Holds Rally in Mubende After Police Block

The National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine held a large rally in Mubende today, but only after facing problems with the police.
The group said that they were stopped by police barricades (roadblocks) on their way to the place they had planned to hold the meeting, which was inside Mubende Municipality.
Because of the roadblocks, the group had to quickly find a new location. They ended up holding the rally at a different venue far away from the town center.
A spokesperson for the group complained that the police stopped them from reaching their first destination.
Despite the change of venue, the rally was well-attended. The group thanked the people of Mubende for coming out in large numbers to support their message, which they call a "protest vote cause." This "protest vote" is a sign of public disagreement with the current government.
