Uganda and Russia to Hold Big Meeting Next Week.


Uganda and Russia will hold their third big meeting about working together on money, science, and technology. This meeting will happen on October 7th and 8th, 2025, at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Uganda's Ambassador to Russia, Amb. Moses Kizige, spoke about the strong friendship between the two countries. He said that Uganda and Russia have been close friends since the 1960s. He noted that over 20 agreements are being worked on to help with trade, health, defense, education, and jobs.
Ambassador Kizige also stressed that the countries want to work together more on turning farm products and minerals into higher-value goods (value addition).
Russia's Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Vladlen Semivolos, agreed that the friendship is very important. He mentioned agreements already signed in areas like education, health, farming, and job training.
The meeting will have talks between government leaders and business people. The goal is to make the cooperation between Uganda and Russia even stronger.
