Something good happened at the border between Uganda and Rwanda!
Border officials from Uganda's immigration office and Rwanda's immigration office had a joint training. This happened on September 29th and 30th, 2025.
The training took place at the Mirama Hills and Kagitumba border posts in Ntungamo District, Uganda. These are called "One-Stop Border Posts" because they make crossing easier.
To finish the training, the border communities from both countries played a friendly football match!
The main special guest was Mariam Kagaiga Mugisha Mbaze, the top government representative for Ntungamo District (RDC).
During the event, officials also talked to local people. They asked everyone to please use the official border posts when crossing. They warned against using unofficial, risky paths.
This joint event helped officials work together better and brought the communities closer.
