The election happened at a big meeting in Montreal, Canada. Many countries voted. Uganda won the seat for the three-year period, from 2025 to 2028.
It was a tough competition, but Uganda did very well. Out of 185 countries that voted, Uganda got 155 votes!
The team from Uganda at the meeting was led by the Minister of Works and Transport, General Wamala. Other important people there included the Ugandan High Commissioner to Canada, Amb. Allan Kajik, and the head of Uganda’s aviation body (UCAA), Mr. Fred Bamwesigye.
