Election Body Speaks Out Against Violence
The Electoral Commission (EC) has raised a serious concern about recent clashes involving some election candidates, their teams, and the police. Condemnation of Friday's Violence The EC specifically and strongly condemned the violent events that happened on Friday, November 28, 2025. These clashes tragically led to the death of one person and injuries to several others. The Commission stated that such violence is completely unhelpful to the country's democratic process. This violence is described as "unfortunate and regrettable" because, overall, the election campaign has been largely peaceful across the nation.
