President Museveni Calls for Global Unity with Departing French Ambassador.

Entebbe, Uganda – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently met with the outgoing Ambassador of France to Uganda, H.E. Xavier Sticker, at State House Entebbe.

During their discussion, President Museveni stressed that countries around the world need to work together. He urged Western nations to join hands with other countries, especially those in Africa, to help everyone develop fairly and to improve trade.

"We need to unite to make the world great," President Museveni said.

The President also pointed out that there are unfair differences in development that harm both developing countries and Western nations.

He explained, "We need to buy each other's finished products. For example, while we buy machines and raw materials for factories from the West, we also want them to buy our finished goods, like clothes and processed milk. This helps create jobs and grow our economy here in Uganda."

President Museveni also said he was hopeful about Uganda's friendly relationships with all countries, especially mentioning the good cooperation with France. He welcomed the investments made by the French company TotalEnergies in the oil fields of Lake Albert. This shows his commitment to using Uganda's economic strengths for everyone's benefit.

"I specifically chose TotalEnergies, which is working with CNOOC Limited in the Lake Albert oil project, and I'm happy they are investing," he stated.
