Uganda's President Museveni to Run Again.

KAMPALA, UGANDA – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has chosen President Yoweri Museveni to be their candidate for president again. He will run in the election for the years 2026 to 2031.
The party's meeting, called the National Delegates Conference, was held at Kololo Independence Grounds. At the meeting, everyone agreed that President Museveni should be the one to lead the party and run for president.
In a speech, President Museveni said thank you to the people who chose him. He said, "I thank you for putting trust in me to be your chairman of the NRM... and for electing me as the party flagbearer for the presidential contest."
He also congratulated his fellow party member, Hajji Moses Kigongo. Kigongo was elected without anyone running against him.
This means President Museveni will be on the ballot in the next big election in Uganda. He has been president since 1986.
