UCE Exams Start Now

Good news for students in Uganda! The big 2025 Examinations have officially begun.
It all kicked off with a meeting, called a briefing, for students taking the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE). These students are the first ones to start the examination period.
What Happened at the Briefing?
Students met with their HeadTeachers (school principals) who explained everything about the exams. They went over the rules and instructions in the official timetable. This is to make sure everyone knows how to act and what to expect when they sit for their tests.
The exams will take place at 4,308 Centers across the country, so many schools are involved!
The Exam Theme
The board in charge of the exams is using the same theme as last year. It is: “Embracing security and holistic assessment of learners in a dynamic environment."
This means they want to keep the exams safe and fair for everyone. They also want to make sure the exams look at the whole student—not just one part of what they learned—even as things in the world keep changing.
UCE candidates are now ready to sit their papers. Good luck to all the students!
