Peace and Order During President Museveni’s Swearing-In Ceremony.



The Uganda Police Force has reported a successful security operation during the swearing-in ceremony of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The event took place on May 12, 2026, at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala. Working together with other security agencies, the police made sure that everyone at the event and in the surrounding areas stayed safe.

Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke shared that the security and traffic plans worked exactly as intended. Officers were stationed along all major roads leading to the venue to keep traffic moving and maintain order. Because of these careful preparations, all routes remained secure throughout the day, allowing guests and officials to arrive without trouble.

Authorities confirmed that there were no major security problems or serious crimes reported during the celebration. The atmosphere across the city’s security zones remained calm and peaceful. The police thanked the public for their cooperation, noting that the well-coordinated effort helped make the national event a success.
