Uganda Prisons Netball Club Presents East African Trophy to CG Byabashaija
KAMPALA — It was a day of celebration at the Prisons Headquarters today as the Uganda Prisons Netball Club officially presented their newly won East African Netball Club Championship trophy to the Commissioner General of Prisons, Can. Dr. Johnson Byabashaija.
The team, smiling and proudly wearing their medals, was warmly received by Dr. Byabashaija. The regional victory cements the club's status as one of the most dominant forces in East African netball.
During the presentation, Dr. Byabashaija praised the players and coaching staff for their discipline, hard work, and for flying the Ugandan flag high across the region. He thanked them for bringing pride to the Uganda Prisons Service and promised continued support for sports development within the institution.
The players expressed gratitude to the prisons leadership for providing the resources and training facilities that made their championship journey possible. With the regional trophy now safely in the cabinet, the "Prison Queens" have turned their focus toward maintaining their winning streak in the local league.
